Project Logistics - Sequim

Number of Students: Crew of 1 - 8 students
Schedule: Some Saturdays, times tide-dependent, meet at Dungeness Spit Trailhead; Flexible scheduling in some cases 
Project Options - Sequim
COASST (Coastal Observation And Seabird Survey Team)
Become trained in and conduct Coastal Observation And Seabird Survey Team (COASST) protocols on West Elwha and Freshwater Bay Beaches. Work with Heidi Pedersen and other Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary staff as well as Tara Morrow and Dan Lieberman of Skills Center Natural Resources.  Contact: Dan Lieberman dlieberman@portangelesschools.org 

Marine Debris Survey
Follow national and international protocols to collect and record marine debris along Elwha River Mouth beaches. Contact: Dan Lieberman dlieberman@portangelesschools.org 

Kelp Rocks Along BeacheS (KRABS) Survey
Collect data on rocks transported by pieces of kelp to better understand the sediment changes at the mouth of the Elwha River.  Contact: Dan Lieberman dlieberman@portangelesschools.org
