COASST (Coastal Observation And Seabird Survey Team)
Become trained in and conduct Coastal Observation And Seabird Survey Team (COASST) protocols on West Elwha and Freshwater Bay Beaches. Work with Janet Lamont and other Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary staff as well as Tara Morrow and Dan Lieberman of Skills Center Natural Resources. Olympic Coastal Clean-up Data Project
Analyze past and current year's Olympic Coastal Clean-up data for trends. Create graphs and possibly interactive maps to present on the Coastal Clean-up promotional materials and Coast Savers website (www.coastsavers.org).
Olympic River Mouth Mapping Project (contact: liam.antrim@noaa.gov)
Use GPS to map the current contours of the river mouths of coastal rivers including the Hoh, Quileute, Elwha and others. Create a GIS map of this data.
